Shut the Fuck Up
Almost daily on this site are criticisms of Shenzhen and its denizens They are almost uniformly overblown. While far for perfect, Shenzhen is a great city, and its citizens are generally good people. The problems discussed can be applied to almost anywhere in the world.
No matter where you are cabbies cheat you, the food is bad and overpriced, some people are rude, there are thieves and cheats, and there is an unending list of small irritations.
Like everywhere there are nice, interesting people in Shenzhen and a good supply of assholes.
I could list a few of the many criticisms and refute most of them. But in fact, similar things can be said about almost everywhere in the the world,
My point: Shut the fuck up. If you’re an unhappy and negative person you’ll be that way anyhere you live.

@TF. My inspiration for this post was the Penguin who doesn't like Shenzhen, so he decided to go somewhere else instead of staying here complaining about things. If you are unhappy it is in your power to change your life. Do so.

sz is great but i spend most time here waiting,waiting,waiting. too much wait ripped me of the will to enjoy, to have fun, to start sth new..it is not the length of time, but the trust that is broken, i wanted to believe what i beliebe is believable, and it all turned out to be untruthful.i am lost here. andi think a new environment may help change the situation.

I fully agree with you. Some people will bitch wherever they are and if the place is so bad and if you have a passport that gives you the mobility to go to someplace better, why don't you go there instead of staying in a place that you say you has so many negative features.

@Robert. I was not being at all sarcastic. It is clear you are a very intelligent and handsome man. I grew up in a tiny town in the Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina.Was if perfect? Of course not. But I don't hate it. The same principle apples to China. It's neither horrible nor wonderful. I'm just very weary of hearing all the mostly mindless bitching.
