I guess, if you're not a Marvel fan you won't get how strong this ad is.

1\Band-aid is flexible enough to stretch quickly to a large extention.

2\Band-aid is strong enough to take care of Hulk.

Good ads. I like the message it delivered.

As once you said I am corny. ;-)

Yes, your new idea is much better and makes more sense. :-)

@ Wandering Cat: An ad is not only to introduce but to promote, sustain, inform or merely for people not to forget about the brand.

You will not get the gist or humor about this ad because you don't follow the HULK as a fictional Super Hero character.

The key word is Flexible Fabric this is what BAND-AID marketers want to promote. They don't want to show emotions, they want to stretch the viewer imagination to visualize Flexible Fabric. It's all about playing with the imagination on a fictional level and presenting it in a different way.

So, maybe the story goes like; when the HULK is in his human form which the mild mannered Bruce Banner he got hurt buy a paper-cut then got a band-aid to protect the wound. Then when he becomes the HULK the BAND-AID is still there wrapped on his pointing finger and it did not tore-up to pieces because BAND-AID uses Flexible Fabric, while his clothes got shredded during the transformation process to HULK. :)

I think an ad is served to introduce a product.  If BAND-AID wants to tell how super-strong it could be, I feel BAND-AID has small heart but big ambition.  I cannot imagine how super strong a BAND-AID is.  And should it be so strong?  For what? A tiny scratch?  :P

If I were BAND-AID, I may convey an idea that it as caring as a loving girl takes good care of a big man's tiny scratch.  Then the image could be changed to a caring girl pasting a BAND-AID on Hulk's tiny wound.  And Hulk was feeling so relaxing at the same time.

Anyway, BAND-AID is the boss. It decided what it wanted to communicate. :P

@ Wandering Cat: This ad is real. It's considered as one of the best creative ART print ad that was created.

@ Wandering Cat: The Hulk as a fiction character is far-fetched as it is. As for the ad, the BAND-AID cannot claim without facts how tensile the flexibility of its fabric is. If they put a copy that referring that it's super-strong they have to show facts on such claim.

But there is no restriction to show a product feature on a creative merit and leave what is being communicated to imagination.

@GD, is this an ad or just for fun?

@ Filthy Lucre: Now it seems that you don't have a sense of humor. Of course the Hulk wouldn't be a pussy, after all, the Hulk skin could not be inflicted with a tiny scratch. Even in the Marvel/DC world money rules.

@GD, thanks for your elaboration.  However, my feeling about this ad. is the same as Mr Tomato's.  The Band-Aid is a little bit far-fetched with Hulk.
