'If I could say it in words

Since being a child I have always had an interest in Art.
I studied art in both Harrogate College of Art and Design and Leeds University and have taught in middle and high schools in the north of UK for 12 years.
Before coming to China, I exhibited and sold my work in studios throughout the United Kingdom.
 
Painting and teaching are my passion. I enjoy sharing my ideas and my love for creation. I try to express a feeling, with serenity, modesty, sadness, tranquillity and happiness in my work.
 
I believe that inspiration somehow comes from within. I see ideas for paintings which are almost everywhere I look.
 
Art in any form, in any media, can be so many things. It can be intellectual and conceptual, but I believe that Art is at its best, when simply emotional. You see something and you are moved.
