I went to Tai O, Hong Kong with my youngest cousin watching the Dagon Boat Race last Saturday.
The whole village was immersed in a festival atmosphere. Many teams wearing in different colors were rowing the dragon boats competing for the champion of the year. Some audience beat the drums and gongs. Some waved the flags and shouted the slogans.
And there was also a lot of fun searching for famous local snacks. My cousin listed out all the must try recommended by a Hong Kong website, such as, small egg cakes (碳烧鸡蛋仔), tea dumpling (茶果), Chinese pizza (香妃饼) and soy milk and Dou Fu Hua. All tasted good.
Two things were pity during the day. One was that we took a boat to see the white dolphin but did not see one. The other was that something wrong with my camera and I could only take a few photos with my iPhone.
All in all, we had a great time there.
The famous Uncle was making his famous small egg cakes.
The Chinese pizza she made has a special taste.

LOL Chris a great many things pass me by at my age now.
@David: You passed by it then it passed by you. ;-)
Not a whole lot these days Chris ; )
@Pink nail: Sure I made it. It was an easy thing to achieve. There are still a lot of nice places worth visiting. If you have time after your daughter's final exam, you can join me. I love nature and explore new places. ;-)
@David: I wonder what does not pass you by uneventfully? :P
Dragon Boat passed me by uneventfully as it does every year ; )
