Curious during CNY, how many people went to visit Mao's home. I was one of them this year, lined up for about 15 minutes to finally took a small tour in his place. Heard that his father was a businessman, the home was well organized with 13 rooms, and a total of 472.94 square meters. Loctus pond, bamboo and mountain around. Impressive. The neighbours have to move to elsewhere as now the home becomes one of the most important memorial places in Hunan province.

It could not be in on my travel list,I could probally stop by for a look If I was ever close to the site, never had interest in going back to see Hunan,my earlier memories were rice fields and fish ponds and mountains that would get on fire in each autumn as result of the grave sweeping (firecrackers),and of course the people, they are very good people, but conservatively traditional, apart from that, we live in different live styles and it has been changes every time I went back.
It could be nice of you,if you had pictures for sharing.
