What I always was afraid of

Each of us is afraid of something, for me it was always that certain kind of phone call I knew it will come one day and from day on things are going to be different. This morning at 6.30 am I have received that call and my Mom told me with a fragile voice that my father passed away way very suddenly yesterday afternoon in Germany.

When I have left my parents not even 3 weeks ago my father was feeling good, he recovered from certain injuries and problems, but with the coming spring he gained back his will to live.

Yesterday suddenly his heart stopped while he followed his hobby, being in his garden.

I’m going to miss him, but I also know he is in a good place now.

Comment by EK on June 6, 2012 at 9:08am: Sorry to hear your pain, at least he died of natural causes, I received a similar phone call from my Mother in late April 2009, I had to commute to two Countries, by myself, knowing that my Dad, had chosen to take his life.....such is life...enjoy it while it lasts!

Time is the healer of all pain, and at least your Father will be at peace now!
