Why Mars Lover

Many people ask me about my user name 'Mars Lover' so I figure I might as well write about why that name in my first blog post.

I write some poetry and song under the name of Mars Lover.

This is not the entire reason I use the name though.

I was born with a first name of Martin. It means 'Man From Mars'.

I also have always gazed up at the stars since I was a child and wondered how it would be to live among them in a ship traveling from one to the other.

One day while looking at pictures of space from NASA, I became interested in the planet Mars. I researched and looked into, then contemplated and wondered awhile the many things that came to mind about that planet. In this, it seems I became fascinated with the planet Mars. Did there exist water on the planet many millions upon millions of years ago ? Did any xtraterrestrials (spelling exactly as I wanted) set foot on the planet ? Will we ever visit Mars ?

So many questions !!

As you can see, I have a thing about Mars.

And this is a small part of the reason for me calling myself Mars Lover.
