A few people have been suggesting some get-togethers over the next few days. However, courtesy of HK Transport Bureau, my availability is limited. I have five meetings in the next three days, and to make a good start the first one is at 8:20am near Admiralty tomorrow morning.

Further investigation showed that my fridge had been emptied of all the good things. They returned a few minutes after I got there - needed lunch they said. During the afternoon the girls got haircuts and the guys did some shopping, then all dozed till dinner time - eight of us at Home Taste. They then headed off to Buji.
After I got home I got a call to say that the Secretary wanted an early meeting, so bang went my chance of a lie in. They want me to run through my presentation, which I was planning to prepare this morning. Should be a shambles.
I am looking forward to it! :-)
I've asked my HK colleagues to save anything interesting and, if I look really good, I'll upload.
Wow, Mike, you will be on TV and the papers. This is very cool! Will you upload them so that we can watch and read?
I don't think they want Meimei on the TV and the papers. They welcome her in the party time! Or I am wrong!
Yesterday went much better than I expected. I left home soon after 6am and got a very fast taxi to Huanggang. As a New Year gift to me they have done away with the Special Lane and there is just one zig-zag queue for all passport holders - Chinese and foreigners. I joined the queue when it was about half way back at 6:15am and it took me 20 minutes to get through it - better than I expected. However, by the time I reached the front all the zig-zags were full and the queue was back out of the door - must have been 40 minutes long by then..
I caught the Wanchai bus - quickly into HK on my ID card and got to Admiralty with 20 minutes to spare for my first meeting. That, and the second in the same location, went well and quickly, so I was able to bring my afternoon meeting forward to late morning. That meant that I was back at Luohu in time for an easy border crossing in mid-afternoon.
The really good news is that I was able to postpone one of tomorrow's meetings to Friday morning and get someone else to cover the other. So I'm staying in SZ today to welcome the Bitch.
I have just been told that I have to do a 5 minute presentation at the press conference tomorrow afternoon so, as I'm the most photogenic of the presenters, I should get on TV and in the papers. The big question is - should I go as Meimei?
Comment by 我是维奇 on February 6, 2013 at 9:23am @GP, yes, that Bill guy is always right. :-)
Comment by GrandPa on February 5, 2013 at 8:26pm @PerfectCat That Bill guy sounds like a reasonable chap!
@Mike, there is always next week, try to squeeze in some time for GP and Chris between the YCGs! :-)
Haha, I also need to work from 8:00 am until Feb 8 to ensure the operation of the company goes well before the Spring Festival. What a honor! But as Bill said, my company treats me good, it is fair for me to take more responsibilities. :-)
