So be more specific so no one misinterprets you. Otherwise people are going to think you gave something away and didn't get back what you expected in return.

I'm just saying: frugal and cheap are basically the same thing, except with an extra dose of judgment. "When you save money this way, it's ok, and when you save money that way it's wrong."

And that's what this breaks down to. Judgment of other people's spending habits. You're right, a lot of women have their own money, which is a great and wonderful development, given history. But it begs the question of what's the point of calling other peoples' spending frugal (aka good) and cheap (aka bad)?
