'DIDI THREE' LAUNCHES NEW ALBUM AT C-UNION SHENZHEN JULY 28TH
In the West, there is the saying 'good things come in threes'. In China there is also the saying 'with three legs, a table can stand'.
When Australian jazz singer, pianist and harmonica player Didi Mudigdo was a child, while listening to an album by British 80's band The Police, his father commented "this band makes a lot of noise for three people". S… Continue

Thee, Stranded Horse is the work of Yann Encre, a native of Normandy whose previous recorded output was under the name of Encre. More of a group project, Encre used acoustic instruments and samplers and quickened pulses in France with their first two albums. Thee, Stranded Horse is at the same time more stripped-down, more simple, yet also more complex, more subtle, beguiling and shaded, in the way that only the… Continue

P.K.14 occupies a space in Chinese music that might be analogous to that of Talking Heads or Television in the New York of the 1970s. They are among the most thoughtful and self-referential of bands, with an enormous curiosity about music coupled with a complete inability to care about musical fashion. Among the astonishing group of young… Continue

With his 2nd album ,the France and China based artist, Wang Wei goes on his rock tour .Just like the running rhino on his first album cover, Alex Wang’s music is wild and powerful. Also he is a story teller with a guitar in his hands, since his lyrics are especilly humorous and full of imagination.

Liu 2
Second-rate Trick
Remember that Bradley Nowell( of Sublime) posthumous acoustic album, the one that was pressed CD and made to look exactly like a bootleg? Liu 2's debut album invokes the same effect-but in this case, Second-rate Trick comes on an actual CD-R. And he didn't even bother to write on them. But don't hold Liu 2's independent printing against him: it'd be a shame not to hear his music.
Nowell's i… Continue

I've still not been to the new location - I'm still in England, but I should see you soon.
Some friends of mine were in on Friday evening and one of them left her umbrella there. It is a present from a friend and she would like to get it back if at all possible. I remember at Shangbu Lu you used to have a box of things that were left behind - do you still do that.
It is an umbrella with a white background and colourful cartoons on it and a wooden handle. If there is any chance of it being there she will drop by to have a look.
