What I believe success is that you have to have your own ideals and that you have faith in those ideals, even in the face of extreme adversity. That is my definition of success. Success is to shine your own luster, to reveal your true quality and to show your distinctive character. Success is a continuous process towards your goal. Social recognition is an indicator of success. It influences our choice by saying yes or no to our aims. As I see it, success belongs to anyone, to you and me, as lo… Continue

Life simply moves on, some people still there but others might already disappear... Last night, made a simple phone call to my ex-employer... also one of the people i respect a lot. Always feel grateful for all his encouragements, patients and the arguments that we had... u know, u just wouldn't be easy to have so much time to spend with one people. I worked for him for one and half year, not that long, but we went through a lot of difficulties. I was like grow up from a little child during that… Continue

In the life experience, there are so many passengers. Some just pass by, the other may took something from you, only a few have left something with you... Most of the people knows to cherish those who have been good to them while i have been cherishing all the people. They either left something with me or took something from me. For the people who treated me good, surely i feel appreciate; for the people who annoyed me or made me disappointed, i also feel grateful. I always got hurt from this na… Continue

Good. I think that going to HK to study will be good for you, as long as you treat it in the right way. That means that you should use it in improve your social life and possibilities as well as your academic and business career. Maybe that panel you attended in HK will be a help – I hope that you’ll be able to contact some of those people again. I thoroughly approve of dropping that old job, and I’m so pleased that you are thinking more for yourself.
OK – you’re talking to me and you will be talking to me in person soon I hope. You can join us again for some eating, drinking and dancing evenings. SZStuff is good for setting up those, but pretty useless in finding useful bfs or “true love”.

NIce to hear from you yesterday - it's been a while - and nice to see an actual photo at last. I should be back within the next couple of weeks and I'll give you a call after that. In the meantime - pursue some dreams.
Mike
I'm back in SZ, but I'm a bit busy this week with visitors in town. I will contact you early next week to arrange to meet.
My email is blocked right now so if you've sent anything recently I've not seen it.
Mike
Well I'm back home in the UK for a while. I'll let you know when I'm coming back as soon as I know.
Let me know how that exam went, and anything else that you feel like telling me.
The party was facinating - look around on various pages - mine, Dan, Shenjinbing and Jane.
See you when I get back - Mike
It is very nice to talk to you.
You have a good communication with Mike and you guys have a lot of activities. Is there anything you can share? I would like to join your meeting!
cheers
Thanks for coming with me. You improved the day very much by your presence. You didn't seem too tired, though I guess that you must have been after the trip, thanks again for making the effort.
I always enjoy showing HK people around this area, they are usually pleasantly surprised, as I think were Billy and Carmen. It is the first time that I've really met Carmen [the wedding doesn't really count as we hardly spoke], though I've known Billy for about ten years. I should obviously have realized that you would be a Cantonese speaker, but I didn't think about it. You seemed to have a good talk with Carmen while wandering around, so much so that you weren't really concentrating on the shopping.
I promise that we really will get around to taking those pictures, but we will need a much better day than yesterday. Maybe next Saturday if the weather is good we can try – we will need good natural light because, as I said, on-camera flash is rarely flattering. It's fine for recording events, such as parties, but not for portrait work. In addition, I'm not going to be bringing my full photography kit out here – it is too bulky. It would be good to get them taken before I return to England, so that I can work on them there if anything is needed. You are a good-looking girl and I think that we can get some nice pictures.
Mike
I think that it would do you a lot of good to meet them. Not to ask questions of them, but just to see how they are together.
We will meet at Ke Xue Guan at about 4pm, and expect to start dinner at my restaurant at about 7pm. You could join at either point, but the earlier is clearly better. If you don't come I'll just have to look after them by myself.
Let me know by phone or sms when you know.
Mike
I have your reply and there is quite a lot to think about, so I may not answer today.
I am meeting up with my HK friends [Billy and Carmen], plus probably a couple from SZ, on Saturday to go shopping, eating and listening to music. I would like it very much if you can come along. They are really nice people and you may learn more about social life outside China.
Mike
I have sent it. Feel free to ask any questions that you like.
Mike
